Research for inclusive training of Students with disability to create a methodoligical framework

Objectives of this IO: Empowerment of inclusive access and nondiscriminatory participation of children, youth and persons with disability in disaster prevention, preparedness and response; Enhance the corpus of knowledge for best disaster risk management practices obtained from other countries rich inexperience in this area; Create a methodological framework for the training of the target groups Define the parameters for OER, mobile app and games; Provide an opportunity for improvement of the formal education system regarding disasters prevention, preparedness and response. This publication that will be a product from this IO will be the first document in Europe from this type, that include the topic of persons with disabilities in the area of disaster risk management. This document will leave a strong impact on a national and international level because with this document all relevant institutions can start to make changes in the area of disaster risk management and persons with disabilities.

Desk Research and Report

In the concept of our project, We conducted a detailed survey applied to students, parents and educators to define the needs, weaknesses, strenghts and expectations of community to enable the safety of students and people with any kind of disability in case of disasters and emergency situations.

Preparedeness Guidance (Practical Toolkit)

As for the main output of our project activities, Here is a Practical Toolkit with everybody working with / having disabled students or people to support them practical tips and information on What to do to enable the safety of disabled people in different disability scenarios and different disasters or emergency situations.
The kit was prepared in 6 different languages ( EN, LT, TR, GR, PT, RO )
